This was kind of a chaotic shoot. The script called for a drone shot that tracked Jesse has he walked from the wall where he was “doing lawn work” and then hover only inches from his head as he reached into a cooler and got water. It was pretty scary for Jesse to have that quad-copter that close to him…

The script then called for me to switch cameras and do a body pan up and down Jesse and Julian... THEN they got into the pool and I had to shoot them below the water and then ABOVE the water doing the exact same thing and then match it up in editing.

After all that… we had to then move forward with Julian’s first scene ever, which of course… was a blast… Julian just jokes non-stop and we laughed the whole time. It was great. But since the opening took so long to shoot and we had a new guy to get through his first scene… the sun came around the wall a bit too far and we had to keep stopping the shoot to move the scrim and we eventually just put the guys in a different angle so we didn’t have the sun streaming directly into the lens.

Titanmen is happy to receive another wave of award nominations for their movies, studio, crew and regular performers.

(SAN FRANCISCO, November 17th, 2017) — Titan Media once again scored multiple nominations at the annual Xbiz Awards.   Winner of Gay Studio of the Year for five years running, Titanmen has again been given the nod in this year’s nominations, but the bigger news is the list of TitanMen movies which also earned recognition for their top-notch work.

On top of the Gay Studio of the Year nomination, TitanMen received TWO nominations for Gay Movie of the Year. Both the hugely-popular political satire Cauke For Free and the romantic ‘starting over’ story Silverlake were nominated for the top category.

This was a fun scene to shoot, but there were a LOT of… bumps in the road.

The scene called for an arial shot of the Silverlake Hills. I had wanted to use a shot of the actual lake… the problem was that at the time, the “lake” (really a reservoir) was empty. So I instead turned the drone 180° to show the actual hills and park. It’s a pretty opening shot but I do wish I’d gotten the water… Oh well…

The opening bit had Adam Ramzi and Dakota Rivers cruising for sex as they walked through the residential streets. Again, that felt a bit odd but we work with what we have. I had to keep stopping shooting because pedestrians kept getting in the shots…. That again… not what we want.

Finally… we shot this at the house of a friend of mine, but he’d forgotten to tell me that there was a construction crew working on the back of the property. They were nowhere near where we were shooting, but we could hear the conduction noises through the whole scene (which I mitigated by getting the guys to walk through the front of the yellow tape so viewers would understand why they were hearing the sounds of jack hammers and drills).

And of course… the guys were taking a fluff break while the crew changed out lights. And while they lay on the couch in the living room sucking dick and kissing… one of the workmen from the back yard walked into the room looking for the owner.

Oh dear. He didn’t stay. Pity, apparently he was hot.

The big surprise, though, was that HUGE cumshot that Dakota blew. We weren’t even going for a face shot and… as you can see.. Adam got a face full anyway.

Director’s Blog: Making LA Cruising with Tex and Jacob

Ok so the first thing people have asked me is “why is Jacob walking like he has a dick up his ass already in that opening bit?”

The truth is that we shot that AFTER the sex. The guys had arrived on set and I wanted to jump right into shooting and make sure we got everything we needed, leaving that opening cat and mouse B-roll bit for the end. While one of the crew went out to scout places we could shoot that opening, we jumped right into the scene.

Jacob was new to us, so I wanted to give him as much time as possible. Some guys need to be really comfortable to shoot in front of a room of strangers so I always give them as much time as they need. Jacob was ALSO about to take a REALLY big dick.
