    Titanmen Receives Multiple Nominations for the Annual XBiz Awards

    (SAN FRANCISCO, November 17th, 2017) — Titan Media once again scored multiple nominations at the annual Xbiz Awards.   Winner of Gay Studio of the Year for five years running, Titanmen has again been given the nod in this year’s nominations, but the bigger news is the list of TitanMen movies which also earned recognition for their top-notch work.

    On top of the Gay Studio of the Year nomination, TitanMen received TWO nominations for Gay Movie of the Year. Both the hugely-popular political satire Cauke For Free and the romantic ‘starting over’ story Silverlake were nominated for the top category.

    The scene called for an arial shot of the Silverlake Hills. I had wanted to use a shot of the actual lake… the problem was that at the time, the “lake” (really a reservoir) was empty. So I instead turned the drone 180° to show the actual hills and park. It’s a pretty opening shot but I do wish I’d gotten the water… Oh well…

    The opening bit had Adam Ramzi and Dakota Rivers cruising for sex as they walked through the residential streets. Again, that felt a bit odd but we work with what we have. I had to keep stopping shooting because pedestrians kept getting in the shots…. That again… not what we want.

    Finally… we shot this at the house of a friend of mine, but he’d forgotten to tell me that there was a construction crew working on the back of the property. They were nowhere near where we were shooting, but we could hear the conduction noises through the whole scene (which I mitigated by getting the guys to walk through the front of the yellow tape so viewers would understand why they were hearing the sounds of jack hammers and drills).

    And of course… the guys were taking a fluff break while the crew changed out lights. And while they lay on the couch in the living room sucking dick and kissing… one of the workmen from the back yard walked into the room looking for the owner.

    Oh dear. He didn’t stay. Pity, apparently he was hot.

    The big surprise, though, was that HUGE cumshot that Dakota blew. We weren’t even going for a face shot and… as you can see.. Adam got a face full anyway.

    The hardest part about shooting this scene was really that Bruce and Micah were so into each other that they kept forgetting I was there.

    Usually we’ll start out with kissing… an oral position… I move the cameras around and get those things from as many angles as I can and then we move onto the next.

    The guys will ad-lib a bit… they’ll make up some dialogue… but in this case, Bruce and Micah totally ignored the fact that there were lights, a full crew, cameras and mics capturing their hookup and it just became… a hook up.

    They were so full of energy that I just allowed them to go where they wanted to go. And then suddenly they were in their first fucking position. That’s what they really wanted to do. Problem was that we were only a few minutes into the shooting and I didn’t have NEARLY enough footage. So I had to get them to circle back to the original sucking so I could get all I needed.

    I may have burst into tears a few months later while trying to edit it all into a scene that flowed… they did SO much and trying to piece it all together into something that made sense was one of the harder things I’ve done. But what we got was a really natural and “real” hookup between the two men.
