    HardWork – Stephen Colbert’s favorite gay porn movie.

    Last week I wrote that a recent commentary by comedian Stephen Colbert on his news parody show* had mentioned the Classic Titanmen movie “Hardwork.”

    And that spawned a LOT of interest in the movie, which has been hard to track down on DVD for quite a while. But when people took one look at that bold look on the face of mega-star Tober Brandt, the email boxes here started to fill with requests to see the movie.

    And since we here at Titanmen NEVER want to leave you with a case of blue balls, we re-released it this past weekend to Titanmen’s website. Hardwork had been digitally remastered and was in line to be rolled out along with a lot of classic Titanmen movies that had only been available on DVD… many hadn’t been available in any form for a long time.

    Another recent classic that was given the remaster treatment was the similarly-themed Road to Redneck Hollow which also features Tober Brandt alongside iconic Titanmen star Dean Flynn.

    Now you get it streaming in crystal clear video that’s cleaned up and looks amazing. And with men like that, you want to see every hair and drop of sweat.

    Hardwork’s most famous scene shows Tober Brandt being topped by Chuck Scott. The Blue Collar Men Fucking theme is what backdrops this collection from Brian Mills and all three scenes are favorites if you like those dirty-under-the-nails and rough-skin-on-the-hands types.

    So here it is in all it’s glory… The Titanmen Classic Hardwork. Which you can say also helps Stephen Colbert wank out his “angry white man sperm.”  Which I’d be oddly interested in seeing. I love those pent-up, raging sexually types.

    Alabama Takedown – Remastered and Restored Titanmen Classics

    It was 2005. Joe Gage had returned in top form and had a perfect cast to tell the story. But you may not have seen the whole Alabama Takedown… A scene that was removed from the retail version as been re-added.

    Cliff Rhodes (Men’s Room II: Gale Force) and Spencer Quest (Spy Quest, HORSE) leaded the cast as the brothers whose wrestling school has some holds not in the official rules.

    A very young Blu Kennedy and a equally-young Colby Keller would solidify themselves as young men we’d be watching for years.

    Mega Porn Daddy Ken Mack (Arcade on Route 9) was back and TitanMen stars Jon Galt (Fallen Angel IV), Jay Armstrong, Zack Evans and Owen Hawk were there too. This wasn’t just any gay porn movie. This was a

    Alabama Takedown is another cunningly-crafted  classic from the master of cineporn, Joe Gage. This three-hour brawl is a hefty serving of  Gage hallmarks, with buddies jerkin’ it together, older dudes showing younger men the  ropes, and unshaven, sweaty wranglers in rough, no-holds barred manplay.

    Gage’s terse, huskily-whispered sex talk drive the tension through all five  scenes into a massive  thirteen cum-shot final scene where TitanMen all-stars pound it out.

    Oh… and in case you know the retail version of the DVD when it first came out and are confused about there being five scenes… the Luke Montana scene with the high school shop teacher showing his stepson and his best friend how to use a penis pump was removed to calm the tender sensibilities of stores. There were also water sports sequences that were removed from the movie that are back in and now only available on the new Titanmen Website that gives you access to the entire Titanmen online catalogue.

    There really is nothing better than having a job where I get to write about the movies that are responsible for the calluses on my hand. And I must have wanked off to the Dad/Son/Prowler scene MANY times.

    110° In Tucson one of those movies that defined Joe Gage’s look and style. His love of rural American “Heartland” settings and a bunch of hot men of mixed ages getting dirty.

    It’s got all the Hallmarks of Joe’s movies… The two young men being caught by the older night watchman and made to suck dick and get fucked, two cops in a cheap motel room for their lunch jerk off hour with the desk clerk, construction workers finding porn.

    And of course the scene featuring a very young Blu Kenendy as a young man who tag teams an intruder with his father. Which is still one of those scenes that gets me going just thinking about it.

    You can almost smell the crotch sweat and feel the muscles rubbing up against you. But it’s that “low-rent places with low-rent people” thing that makes all of Joe’s movies so good.

    But this one resonated even more than most and became the highest-selling Titanmen DVD ever.

    And while it’s still available on DVD in it’s extended version, it’s also newly remastered only on the new Titanmen website.

    Even if you think you’ve seen Carny, you may not have.

    Not in it’s full version, anyway. Because of all the Piss Play and Sex Toy scenes, it was deemed too “obscene” (whatever that means) for most retail stores and the only way to get your hands on a copy of the un-edited movie was to look for the “Extended Director’s Cut” that had the scenes edited back in.

    Starring Dred Scott, one of the most Iconic gay porn stars in history, Carny also included some “lighting in a jar” scenes with Danny Vox, Kalaban, Hank REal and the one and only Bud Hole.

    Just as Fallen Angel IV: SeaMen took the TitanMen leather series on a whole new tack, Carny boldly takes the edginess to a new level. Directed by TitanMen masters Brian Mills and Harold Creg, Titanmen broke it open with the first in Titan’s “Circus” movies (that also include Funhouse and Cirque Noir) and showed a dark, seedy and dangerous world of Circus Carnys.

    The interviews, photo shoots, behind-the-scene glimpses and cum shot review included on the 1¼-hour Bonus Disc goes far beyond what any other studio is offering. Show this one on a big screen and play it loud. Lurid is hardly the word… it was foul and shocking even then. But in the 10 years since Carny was made, it’s legend grew and it’s now one of the most sought-after movies Titan ever made.

    You can still get your hands on the “full” version of the movie at the Titanmen DVD store but a newly-remastered version is also available on the Titanemen Website, streaming On Demand along with the entire Online Catalogue.

    Titanmen Classics: Brian Mills’ “FLUX.”

    As the Titanmen Studio goes through the renovations that have had us all showing up in jeans and work boots and wearing leather gloves to help move things around, we’ve found all sorts of artifacts and pieces of porn history. While some people might find going through old props and moving around boxes filled with back drops and tarps to be dull, I kept recognizing things. The signs from walls that show up in different movies, gauze that creates that pattern of light in the Titan Rough movies, the pipes from every sewer scene. Jasun walked out with the cab topper from Joe Gage’s Campus Pizza movie and I snagged a set of rubber horns from Incubus.

    One thing that we had a LOT of was boxes and boxes of rolls and rolls of plastic sheeting. The kind you use to insulate windows or   stop the dust in a construction site. Brian Mills told me that he uses it in just about every movie he’s made. It defuses the light and allows a warm glow to fall over the performers, he said. But it also helps create shadow and lighting effects.

    He told me that his favorite movie that he’d ever done was Flux, that he called his movie “all about plastic wrap.” It’s always interesting to hear what a director was thinking when he made the movies you’ve watched. I hadn’t really paid much attention to the plastic wrap although my favorite scene is the one with Drake Jayden and Tyler Saint.

    Drake is the tattooed, small and ripped, younger and edgy punk. Tyler the manly, masculine and handsome businessman in a suit, getting a personal performance from Drake. It stunning.

    But the whole movie, I realized, has a very calm and simple feeling because of the defused primary colors that wash over everyone and how it makes the sex seem so primal and instinctive.

    Now that it’s been remastered and re-released on the new Titanmen website, you can get a look at it all close up and personal.

    Titanmen Classics: Gorge

    Still considered to be one of the best gay porn movies ever made, Bruce Cam’s Gorge still stands up. Shot nearly 10 years ago in the northern Grand Canyon, this was the movie that proved that Ray Dragon and Dred Scott were names we would remember forever.

    Ray Dragon appears first with Dred Scott and then newcomer Matthew York in two scenes, while Dred appears in three scenes with a variety of partners.

    The other cast members are Carlos Marquez, who appeared with Ray in some famous photographs, while Chad Williams and Jake Marshall come from TITAN’s Slammer. They’re joined by new TITAN stars Rick Hollander and Ben Jakks, and, making his first appearance in a TITAN movie as a special guest, popular star Carlos Morales.

    But it wasn’t just the star power of Dragon and Scott or even the high-quality production values that Bruce Cam took to a new level years before with Fallen Angel and then perfected a year before shooting Gorge with Fallen Angel IV:Seamen. It was the raw, primal and boundary-free action that really split things open. Dred Scott is still the only Native American porn mega-star and his fire-in-the-belly performance, set over the jaw-dropping backdrop of the American South West gave an eye-rivetting visual that made you want to rip off all your clothes, run into the desert and fuck whomever you came across.

    There’s something about a primitive setting that releases a guy to find pleasure in a most instinctual way. So when a trio of backpackers pause in their hiking so one of them can take a leak, the other two aren’t surprised to find cocks in hand — and subsequently mouths and asses. Carlos Morales and tall solid Ben Jakks swap asses in some hungry turn-about fucking, and redhead Rick Hollander gets in the action by topping them both before a daisy chain of fucking brings a geyser of cum pellets shooting from all three.

    Bruce Cam would only direct four more movies over the next five years, ending with “Breakers,” starring the then- relatively new Francois Sagat and Dean Flynn. But Gorge still lives on not only on a double DVD with some amazing bonus footage but also on Titanmen’s VOD site.
